National Volunteer Appreciation Month-Lori Boucouvalas
Apr 21, 2016
Lori Boucouvalas has been a local volunteer for Project G.R.A.C.E. for many years.
Lori has volunteered during Project G.R.A.C.E.’s annual Trivia Bee and Fuel Assistance Fundraiser. The Scarborough branch also helped to collect school supplies to fill back packs for students and also held a food drive during the holidays.
“I volunteer because I enjoy giving back,” states Lori. “I appreciated those who volunteered so that I and my family could participate in community activities, I now make it a point to volunteer so that others can enjoy the same.”
Project G.R.A.C.E. aims to improve the lives of Scarborough neighbors by identifying both those in need and those willing to share their gifts, and coordinating the interchange in a compassionate, confidential manner. Project G.R.A.C.E. is an organized volunteer effort which was founded in the year 2000. They depend on the generosity of their neighbors so that they can lend a hand to those neighbors in need.
Lori also volunteers at Buy Local, Morrison Center, St. Demetrios, St. Fotini, United Way of Cumberland County, Maine Audubon, Salvation Army, and the Scarborough Schools & Business Partners. Thank you Lori for everything that you do and we appreciate all of your hard work!
