Lynn Chase Volunteers at Southern Maine Agency on Aging
May 25, 2016
Lynn Chase has been a local volunteer for the Money Minders Program at the Southern Maine Agency on Aging for over eight years.
The money minders program matches well-trained and high-skilled volunteers with clients who need help getting their monthly bills paid in a timely manner. The Money Minders Program helps to bring a peace of mind to the program participant.
“I love the interaction between the client and me,” states Lynn Chase. “We visit and talk and have a cup of tea. It is like visiting a friend or family member. I help answer her questions relating to mail, bills to be paid and budget. We enjoy each other’s company with main goal of helping her keep her finances in order.”
The Southern Maine Agency on Aging is a non-profit organization dedicated to planning and implementing social services for adults age 60 and older. The organization provides the resources, programs and people to ensure that older adults and adults living with disabilities in Cumberland and York counties maintain their vitality well past the age of sixty.
Thank you Lynn for everything that you do and we appreciate all of your hard work!
